Can you mount over my stone fireplace?
In most cases, yes. We use the right masonry anchors for brick or stone and check the surface first. If the height would put too much heat on the screen or run the cords somewhere they can't safely go, we'll flag it before we drill.
Will the cables be hidden?
That's the plan. On standard interior walls we run them inside the wall to a lower outlet. Where in-wall isn't practical, we use a low-profile channel painted to match so it disappears.
